On November 28, 2008, Minister Kenny has announced that processing time for skilled workers would be expedited to one year or less. At present, some applications under this category can take several years to process.

The CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS is a new Canadian  immigration category. As of November of 2008, workers and graduating students are eligible under this category if they have been legally working or studying for at least a year, and speak one of the two offical languages.

AS of SEPTEMBER 1, 2006, there is a new and simplified procedure for both skilled workers and business immigrants, designed to speed up processing times: details can be found at the CIC website, or by contacting Peter.
